Tetlow makes the switch to Virginia

Richmond (Va.) Mills Godwin offensive tackle Eric Tetlow

Signing Day started off with bang for the Cavaliers as Mike London and staff reeled in a commitment at a position of need in Richmond (Va.) Mills Godwin offensive tackle Eric Tetlow.

The 6-foot-6, 296-pounder committed to Wake Forest in November. He has informed that Demon Deacons staff of his decision to decommit and has made the call to Virginia on Wednesday that he intends to sign today with the Cavaliers.

Tetlow was originally being recruited by UVa assistant Jim Reid. It was however, Vincent Brown and Scott Wachenheim that offered the three-star defensive tackle after Reid's departure following the season.

UVa associate head coach Tom O'Brien assumed the role as Tetlow's lead recruiter.

Tetlow is the 21st commitment in Virginia's 2013 class. He's the fourth offensive linemen in the class joining Decatur (Ga.) Columbia offensive tackle Eric Smith, Boston (Mass.) B.C. High offensive guard Jack McDonald, and Salisbury (Conn.) The Salisbury School offensive tackle Sadiq Olanrewaju.

247Sports ranks Tetlow as the No. 109 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 38 player in the state of Virginia regardless of position.
