Although Virginia made the initial cut for Forestville (Md.) Bishop McNamara safety Nico Law when he trimmed his list to eight, it doesn't appear that the Cavaliers will remain in the running for the 6-foot-3, 195-pound defensive back.

"I have cut my list to five schools," said Law. "Iowa, Cincinnati, Louisville, West Virginia, and Maryland are the five schools that I am still considering."

Law stopped short of saying those are his finalists however.

"Those could be my final schools but it depends on if any new offers come in during the season."
