  • We need to get this kid. I know he may have grade issues, but this kid is the real deal. As fast as JC Coleman is, I think that Jones is more explosive. Simply, the kid has the "it" factor, and he is 6'0" 180 lbs already.

Agree, he's got some time to get the grade issues remedied.

Hit the books young man, we need you in Orange and Blue.

Amen to that. Would hate to see him miss out on what we've got going on in C'ville because of grades.

  • Based entirely on what I have seen in the State Championship game, this kid looks like a playmaker through and through. I think he would be a HUGH addition to our receiving corps. I hope he wants to stay in the Wahoo family when the time comes to make taht decision. He is fast, shifty, and has great ball skills when the ball is in the air.

  • Hope he hits the books and draws inspiration from his brother. I am going to go through withdrawal after Perry Jones graduates. Great kid, great player. Would love to see the younger Jones make his own mark on the program his brother is helping to build.

I thought he was the most dynamic player on the field. He and the Stovall (?) kid (15) were just awesome.

  • Stallings.....right. Yeah, that kid was a BEAST! I sat beside 72 (Riddick's) family. That kid controlled the center of the LOS all night long.

I raved about stallings months ago. Wished we had gotten involved, and I'm shocked he hasn't gotten any bcs offers. It will be interesting to see if anyone comes knocking late in the game. JMU has themselves a stud.

  • Watched the first half of the game last night on a replay and will watch the rest today.

My impressions of the game are as stated above but one thing stood out to me that was not mentioned. That is the almost zero impact on the game by JC Coleman. Sure the TD run around the left end was nice but other than that, Centerville seemed to keep him pretty well bottled up. If he is that much of a non-factor at that level with Ekanem out injured, then I'm not too upset that he is VT bound.

Now he may have run wild in the second half so there's always that!

He's a very good back. He's got great burst and he a had a few start/stop moves that were pretty sick. I think Centreville kind of sold out to stop him and then Smith just ate them up with the passing game. It was a pick your poison and Centreville chose theirs.

During the broadcast, they mentioned that JC Coleman has been nursing an achilles or foot injury for most of the year.

Keep your head. I know the ups and downs of the message board world. I, like you, started as a 5 star poster. I had a star taken from me(stolen), but I have risen from the ashes like the Phoenix to reclaim my 5 star status.

  • Number 22 for Centerville was a good looking player on both sides of the ball. Who is he?

    23 looked good as well.
