There were a ton of prospects just up the road from Charlottesville at WFS (where I went to school) and he just ignored them.
Mike London has changed that and in a big way. I'm a much bigger fan of London's approach to recruiting when it comes to private school kids and Woodberry. No reason that UVA can't tap into the talent just up the road an hour at WFS....no reason at all!!
I give Groh a pass on Wilson...we had already committed to and received a committment from Lalich, who was the highest ranked QB to have ever committed to UVa. Plus, everybody passsed on Wilson....he had only two or three offers based on his physique and stated preference to play baseball.
Coale....another story completely. A huge miss that is still hard to take, and one that we have finally stopped paying for.
