Virginia Releases 2012-13 ACC Men’s Basketball Schedule ...

  • CHARLOTTESVILLE - Virginia has announced its tentative men's basketball schedule for 2012-13 Atlantic Coast Conference games. The exact dates and times, along with television information, will be announced later in the summer when the league unveils the entire schedule for all 12 schools.
The 2012-13 season is the first year the ACC will feature an 18-game league slate. The Cavaliers will play seven schools home-and-away (Boston College, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia Tech), two schools only at home (Duke, NC State) and two schools only on the road (Miami, Wake Forest).

The tentative schedule lists games either as a weekday or weekend contest. A weekday game could be played on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. A weekend game could be played on Saturday or Sunday.

Virginia's non-conference schedule, which includes a trip to Wisconsin on Nov. 28 as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, will be announced later this summer at the same time the conference games' dates and times are released.

The 2013 ACC Tournament will be held March 14-17 at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C.

2011-12 men's basketball season ticket holders will receive renewal information beginning June 25 with the opportunity to renew season tickets over the summer with a new year-long payment option. 2012-13 men's basketball season tickets will be available at four price levels: $435, $340, $215, and $165 and will go on sale to new buyers beginning Tuesday, Sept. 4.

  • I like it. One each against Duke and NC State and both are at home. Plus our toughest road tests (@UNC, @FSU) will be later in the year when all the frosh have had more development time.

Yeah, that schedule is set up pretty nice. If we don't win between 25-30 games I'll be bitterly disappointend.

  • Durty, if we win 28-30 games I will buy you the case of beer of your choice. How many times have we won that many games ever? Never? :)

  • How many games are we playing? Guess it would depend on the NIT tourney.....who knows? 30?31? 32?33? not counting the ACC tourney or NCAA....

You can play a maximum of 31 regular season games. In the past couple of seasons, I think we have played 30. I'd love for us to hit the 31 game mark, though I would guess 30.
