Virginia, which trailed by as many 17 points, came back to tie the game in the final seconds of regulation to force overtime. The 'Hoos topped the Terps, 61-58 in overtime.

For the committee people who watched the game, I mean, they have to take into account the toughness and resolve our team showed. To be down 17 and look like we're about to get blown out, and then battle back and win it, you have to reward that. It speaks volumes about both our system AND our players.
Also, UMD helped us out by inexplicably stopping their full court press. I don't know why Turd-gen made that decision, but it basically gave us a chance.

I agree. Not all wins are created equal. This one showed determination and heart. if i was on the committee I'd be impressed, but again I am biased.

Just got back from Cville. Never been so exhausted - physically, emotionally, or mentally - after a basketball game before. Time to relax with a few home-brews. Gritty win by the team.
