Thursday Night Open Mic

  • It's been a solid day so far -- let's have an Open Mic nightcap for dessert.

    JO -- if you could play one position besides QB, what would you play?

  • Is there a more annoying NBA team than the Pacers: Hansbrough, McRoberts, Dunleavy, even Hibbert?

    What is your least favorite NBA team?

    How are you feeling about the Mavs this postseason? Heard a lot of talk before the series that the Blazers were going to take the series but it seemed a little too much of a trendy pick for me.

  • Jamie- I know the decisions of these premier recruits are shaped by family, friends, rival coaches, etc, but it sure seems that many of our targets could make decisions by the end of the summer. Could a special athlete or two open the door for a super class? I remember reading that JC Coleman was influential with some of the bigger names. Is Eli a similar "thought leader"?

    The Heat is my least favorite team. Too many bandwagon fans that were diehard Cleveland fans last year.

    We'll see if they can hold up. I'm not going to act like the deal to bring Kidd to Dallas was a bad one but it has a shelf-life. Devin Harris would be better for the longterm.

    Eli is well respected and he is very close to Anthony Cooper. The two play with J.C. and a slew of underclassmen that are UVa targets in 2013 and 2014.

    Communication is key its an old cliché but its the absolute truth. Let the little things go its not worth it but hold your ground on major issues. Even though your married you have to have something that you do that yours and only yours.

    1. Respecting personal space. Not saying you need to keep secrets but the two of you need to have your own time to pursue interests that may not overlap.

    2. Grilled steak stuffed burrito.

    When will the lockout be over?

    I still think the 2011 season happens in its entirety.

    I believe he'll go before the end of the 2nd round.

    While over half of the team is under 21 and this purely for entertainment purposes only, I'm going with Austin Pasztor, Jeremiah Mathis, or Nick Jenkins.

    No idea what the deal is with Redman. I know that Tech denied him January admission. Not sure if he will need to prep or not. There plenty of SAT/ACT attempts remaining.

    1. Coin flip. Sounds like Sims has been very impressive.

    2. Having the parents and in-laws over for "linner", as my four-year old calls late lunch/early dinner.

    3. Not sure I've met a more universally liked but still sarcastic person as Dave Borbely.

    4. Didn't see it happening as a high school player and honestly, he didn't either. If he ends up being as good as the early returns say he will be, a tip of the cap to the Tech staff on that one.
