  • You definitely make a good point there!! I was stunned at the lack of performance at the Duke game--especially considering that game was so big for Virginia's bowl implications. That being said--I still loved to see the energy and would love to see it carry on to future games in Scott Stadium and future bowls!!

  • Yeah it was pretty amazing staying in the team hotel. Without a doubt one of the best experiences I've ever had at a UVA bowl game. I was dishing out high fives to UVA fans on gameday when we were coming up the escalator. It was pretty awesome. Apparently there was a guy who played with "Bullet" Bill Dudley staying at the hotel. He was wearing a pretty classic houndstooth UVA hat. I got to meet Ryan Sawyer (former UVA WR and roommate of Matt Schaub) and Alex Seals (incredibly dominant special teams player at UVA) at the Georgia Dome. It was pretty awesome talking to those guys about the Continental Tire Bowl in 2002 and games like that will always bring a smile to Virginia fans or players faces!

  • Yep pretty awesome event...got my pic taken with Aaron Brooks! He still looks like he could play IMHO!! Special times to be back in the bowl business, next year we'll even be back winning again too!!!! Oh yeah!! Yes I did!!

  • I had a blast as well. Staying at the team hotel was fantastic. Yes... the "Go Hoos" chant was outstanding. I tried to get it going a few times, but apparently it was hard to hear from the 21st floor! Man... that place had some crazy engineering going on! Regardless, Coach London and the staff will continue to work hard to get the talent and speed that we need to continue winning, but our fan base can continue to step it up as well. I'm telling you right now... Auburn may have had more fans... but from where I was sitting... we took over! Thanks to all of the Virginia fans that could make it and for the rest of the Hoo Nation that showed its support. Now we need to show up loud and proud to the spring game and keep supporting and pushing our program forward. Go Hoos!

  • Y'all are making me very jealous. Staying at the Marriott Renaissance was NOT the same experience. (Sigh.)
