Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern TE Rory Anderson ...

told me a few minutes ago that Virginia is his top school. All along, Anderson has been saying that South Carolina and UVa were his top schools but this is the first time he has named UVa as his lone favorite.

excellent news. Although we probably don't need a tight end as much in this class with McGee going over there, we could definitely use one and he definitely looks the part.

He visited earlier this summer. Anderson plans to take at least four official visits before deciding though. He and linebacker teammate Marcquis Roberts plan to visit UVa together again.

How would you compare Anderson to our two TE misses - Malleck to UMd and the other to WVU?

It's nice to see us going into Ga and becoming a player with some of these kids. I love the fact we are still going after TEs. You can never have too many with our type of O.

Anderson was higher on the board than either but he is a different type of TE. He is more of a jumbo-WR. The hope is that he continues to mature physcially. He has the frame to be a 245-pound TE but right now, he weighs around 205.

I've seen Anderson a couple of different times during the summer at various 7-on-7 events. He is advanced in the passing game- very good hands and body control, a big frame to body up defenders, excellent route runner and deceptive speed.
He's got to fill out or play a "split tight end" type of role.
