He loves what their coach is doing with the program (26-36 in two years) and he just wants to win, so why not go to a team that was below .500, has been over .500 twice since 2003, and is on the heels of a point shaving scandal...this is just confusing.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going and the weak get going too...to another school.

I agree this is a very confusing move. Some of the other comments on this thread show the frustration some of us are feeling with his decision as well. It seems to me this does not boil down to wanting to win or liking the coach. It must be almost purely motivated by playing time, and the desire to showcase his talents by being a major player on a team, regardless of their record.

I wish him the best, despite the fact his decision left us short-handed. We should all remember that most of us were VERY excited to have him commit to us, and there should be no reason to personally disparage this young man. He and his family made the best decision they thought at the time. In hindsight, maybe it doesn't seem so great, but I harbor no ill will to him. Good luck KT Harrell.

The impression KT is giving with his actions and comments is it is all about KT. Given that and the way he let his former teammates down we are far better off without him. I will spend zero time following his career. He turned his back on his team, he deserves the same from us.

Despite all the comments in this thread I hope KT does well there. I know he pretty much screwed this team over, but at the same time he is a 18 or 19 year old kid that made a decision that was best for him. As a fan of UVA that kills me, but as a person I realize college is supposed to be the time of your life. If he wasn't enjoying it at UVA than I hope he enjoys it at Auburn.

I doubt I'll always remember him.

For all I know or care, he's going down to live in a swampside shack with Jermaine Harper and J.C. Mathis, baking cakes with files in them for Keith enifer.

Good riddance....I personally don't want to wish ill-will on anyone, but I don't have to wish success either....and so I hope nothing successful happens with him basketball-wise. You quit on your teammates, coach, university, and fans when they needed you the most. I hope someday, if you already haven't, that you will realize what you did and you feel nothing but guilt and shame from it.
