  • Never in a million years would I have predicted Akil Mitchell to be on an All ACC team after seeing him play as a first and second year player. His development is the "poster" for UVA big man recruiting.

Very well deserved recognition for both Joe and Akil.

  • Booker and Anderson were surprise picks but well-deserving. Best player on their respective squads.

  • Since I don't see Tyler Zeller on the list I'm guessing retiring on 3/1 meant Caulton didn't get a vote this year

i think they do a separate vote but it'll be close between the two.

  • I don't mean to take any focus away from our kids, but I have to point this out:

How in the heck can Alex Len be considered a sure lottery pick when he can't even crack the third team for all-ACC as a sophomore? I get the whole potential argument and UMD not having solid guard play, but geez.

It would be... Shane Larkin should definitely by the player of the year.

Congratulaions to both Joe and Akil!

It's great to see a 3 star and 2 star recruit make the all-ACC teams in their junior years! Speaks greatly about the staff's ability to identify and develop talent! Only 3 other guys on the all-ACC teams were not 4 or 5 stars: Larkin, Green and Ryan Anderson. I will be interested to see what Bennett can do with more highly rated recruits!

  • Awesome news for Wahoos around. Love the fact that both Harris and Mitchell developed into All ACC players instead of being born on 3rd base and thinking they hit a triple. They having something to be really proud of.

Agree. I had it as Harris after the Duke game but would pick Larkin now.

That's what happens when the majority of the media that vote kiss Duke's ass. I didn't say he deserved it just been around long enough to know how things work in the ACC media.
