bbb989, have to admit i never thought Sene would be as good as he has become, mainly because of his hands. But as a true freshman Sene played decent D, and he could rebound fairly well. Johnson is a redshirt freshman and has no clue how to play basketball. Sene is a miracle in my opinion, but James was never in his class when Sene couldn't even catch the ball.

What I find troubling is the level of questioning Tony Bennett. Some have gone from hot to cold on him in the matter of a week.
It is clear that both of these decisions are about playing time. I can understand the people questioning point guard recruiting but not these transfers. Shouldn't what is happening signal that recruiting is upgrading? The onus is on the player to stay and fight for minutes, not the staff to reward minutes in fear of losing a player to transfer.

A freakin men Jamie, from a coaches stanpoint that cant even recruit thats what I hope for my team, you dont reward minutes just to keep a kid, give me a break, there is no competitive nature in that, its for that kid to stick it out and make up his mind if he can work harder or if it just isnt for them....both kids have said good things about their "former" coach....if they left because of him they wouldnt have said a thing or have mentioned that if the bridge burned was that bad.....its ridiculous coming on here and reading half the b.s. people throw out or assume, why dont we talk about the team going forward instead of trying to figure out every damn thing that you arent going to be allowed to know....over it...merry xmas everyone!

No ones dad is thrilled with the coach when they think their child should be playing, shame to see him go but its really his loss. He gave up a chance to be part of something special, learn under Scott, work hard 1 more offseason and have a chance to be the man for 3 years.

JO, you nailed it right on the head, this has nothing to do with Bennett it's about two players not wanting to stay and earn their minutes, I thought both would contribute before the season began, I never had any doubt that KT would snap out of his slump so I am very disappointed that he's leaving, JJ as well for that matter he may not of had made an impact this season, but I thought by the time they left UVA they would both contribute alot, sad to not be able to see other do that at UVA now. Somebody is going to get some good players and then in a couple of years we can all say we wish they wouldn't have left again.

What I said was the six recruits probably signed with the idea that they would get immediate playing time. When JJ got here, he realized then he wasn't ready and asked to red-shirt. I seriously doubt that when he signed he planned on red-shirting.
