Coop u just became a tugard captain.LOL ur post was the best in several weeks. I have been waiting all week for one of these uva sites give a report on the players. I have so maany questions but i keep it to a minimum. Did u see evan handling the ball during the games. If so how he look. Same question for justin. Was barnette hitting contested shots and did he drive to the hole. How is tobey post defense. How did justin miller look. Do he look healthy. For the returning players. Did akil and darion put on some mass on their bodies. Do darion look comfortable on the offense. Is akil plying with more confidence and being vocal. I have more but i relax for now.

All of the players have had their moments this summer, from the young guns to the old man (Jontel). That said, it's dangerous to read too much into what happens in pickup games, where the defense is often virtually non-existent. Anybody who saw Jeff Jones play at JPJ in the summer of 2009 would have come away convinced he would be All-ACC that winter. Likewise, the wide-open nature of summer games resulted in many monster dunks for James Johnson in 2010.

I will say, though, that I seriously doubt there's a guard in the ACC who can keep Jontel from getting into the lane off the dribble. The key will be how well Jontel finishes.
