Burfict has tons of potential, but had to have more PF penalties than anyone in the country. A few days ago I read the atatched article about him trying to make changes. I guess he hasn't changed enough.

He was suspended for a failed drug test while at VT. He isn't the only one on our team that smokes weed either.
You're not going to find a program that doesn't have kids that smoke weed, including UVA. It's stupid for these kids to not realize they can just stop for a few weeks before the combine when you know a test is coming, an then continue once you're drafted. But this isn't the dumbest of the mistakes NFL players make either.
As for DBU, we've had a CB drafted every year since 98, that'll continue this year as well.

Didn't see in this article where they mentioned a UVA player former or current smoking weed. I thought Frank kicked these types off the team?

Could look at it that way.. But you could also look at it as the college helps get you in the NFL but its the individuals job to stay in the NFL.

When the guys that succeed are the exception and not the rule, you have to wonder how well they were prepared in college.

Fuller, Prioleau, Carpenter, Green all put up decent stats.
Not on the elite level of Barber or Flowers, but not on the bust level of Jimmy Williams.
Disclaimer I'm not saying flowers is on Rondes level yet, they're just the best 2 DBs from each school.

Of course frank doesn't kick kid off the team or smoking weed, if every coach did that we wouldn't be able to watch college bball or football. Definitely wouldn't be able to watch pro.
If you truly believe that none of your football players smoke week then I'm very happy for you, but pass some of whatever you're smoking. Because its not true, for UVA, VT, UNC, LSU, Bama, Notre Dame or any other program you can think of.

I think VT and Bud's D gets the best out of these kids to be honest! Great system for success, but I do wonder about the flops. That being said CB is probably the most difficult position in the NFL, especially to expect any longevity of success.

All I'm saying is that the number of flameouts you've had once these guys get to the NFL makes you wonder how well prepared they really are.
Any of our recent OL to play in the NFL: Brown, Butler, St. Clair, Ferguson, Albert, Monroe had long careers by NFL standards and left the game on their terms or were cut short by injuries, not by excessive knuckleheadedness.
