Does it ever hurt a schools position with a JR recruit to have everyone saying/predicting over and over that a particular school is the front-runner?

seems like everyone does. i can't say i blame them, the facilities at oregon are second to no one, you get to the newest and best gear possible, and eugene is a fun place. distance from home is pretty tough for them to overcome thankfully

Nike is awesome and is single handedly boosting that program with their gear and Phil Knight's donations. That stuff only gets you so far, but with some guys it makes a lot of difference.

yea, i have watched some of the videos they made showing the locker rooms and training facilities. they have stuff better than some NFL teams. it's not just for football either. the new baseball stadium looks amazing. i will admit i'm a little biased to UO, i've had 7 cousins graduate from there and always like their colors growing up. one of those weird sub-fanhoods that sticks with you into adulthood.
