Yep, that was a strong pick. Reiff is this year's version of Bryan Bulaga.
As the resident Bengals fan (I assume nobody else on this board is that stupid), I'm happy with our Kirkpatrick pick at #17, the trade back to #27, and the Zeitler pick. Not a standing-backflip first round for the Bungles, but a solid addressing of needs. We got the young cornerback we needed and the young instant-starter we needed at right guard, AND we picked up an extra 3rd rounder? That was a successful 1st round.
Dre Kirkpatrick is a tad underwhelming to me as a top-20 pick, but he's got ability. I love Zeitler and think he'll be an excellent pro, a plug-and-play guy we'll never have to worry about until his contract expires and his price tag skyrockets. Plus, he can play center. The cornerback and guard positions are now fully addressed, which means we can focus on other positions for the rest of the draft.
Wilson needs to learn to tuck the ball, he floats it out way too much, and in the NFL they are fast enough to catch up with you and separate you from the ball.
The Giant's should be a good place for him, they handle their business as well as anyone, have another RB, and should bring him along slow. He's also only started for one year and should be a tr Senior, he needed another year, but you can't argue with going in the first 2 rounds. I'm happy he's going to the Giants, although he could kick my teams arse for years to come.
Plus he was double-teamed a lot. It's not like anybody else at Memphis was worth a darn.

Very, very happy with RGIII, the more I see of the guy thru Comcast Washington sports the more I like this selection. His dads a hoot. Already wants him to get to work!! I think I see why the cowboys went for DB's...
I am extremely thrilled with the Steelers pick of OG Decastro. They have needed OL help for years, and they got themselves a great one, IMO. Granted, they are getting pretty long in the tooth on the defensive side of things, but Big Ben has been taking an ass-whooping for years because our OL was terrible. The only reason the Steelers haven't led the NFL in sacks given up is because Big Ben is big enough to get away from half of the shoulda been sacks.
I'm a Giants fan and I'm not going to lie I feel dirty that we drafted David Wilson.
I thought it was a curious pick to be honest. I think Wilson is a good fit for the Giant's scheme, but I also this he and Bradshaw do very similar things and aren't very complimentary.
anybody else waiting around to laugh at whoever takes stephen hill?
Man, any Jets fans on here? What the heck are these guys thinking? They trade for Tebow kicking off a huge sh*t storm and QB controversy. Then, their draft so far has been a little questionable. Coples is talented, but dude is soft. Now, they just picked Hill who has 49 career receptions in college. Kiper pointed out that Blackmon had 49 receptions in 4 GAMES last year, ha.
LaMichael James BABY!! Small but explosive..
Glad to have another 9ers fan on here, Travis. I like the pick. 3rd down back and a returner.
Definitely if he can stay healthy, hell Sproles is doing well so I think L.J will be just fine he has very good hands, quick as a cat and great vision. He will help us for sure in the return department, unless he pulls a K. Williams.. The poster formerly know as 3-4Manup KR4K3N is also a Niner's fan...
Jaguars just took a punter in the 3rd round. I repeat: Jaguars just took a punter in the 3rd round.
Excuse me, while I hit this sky hook.
I don't see James doing squat in the pros
REALLY happy for Russell Wilson going in the 3rd round. First good pick Seattle has made so far in this draft.
Wait, Wilson got drafted before Lalich? Unpossible!,
Kicker and punter aside, I think one of the main questions in the first round is whether you can get a 10 year starter, if nothing else. decastro is that plus 2-7 pro bowls
LOL Thanks Mel Kiper..
Ha. Mel Kiper has the best job in America ... and perhaps the best hair
Daaaaah!!! Only Johnny Bravo can pull that off.
he has had hair plugs in the last few years....
I freaking love Russell Wilson. Maybe we can get him to talk to Sims about coming in as a transfer.
