Apologies for skipping these yesterday; I was crazy busy at work.
We start with a FANTASTIC Ratcliffe write-up on the incoming DL class.
“I’ll tell you what I like about this class,” Reid said. “We believe that on defense, it all starts up front. When you take a look at some of the players we have signed, there’s great potential to continue what we started this past season.”
Whether or not Mike London and Jim Reid decide to play or redshirt such true freshmen this fall remains to be seen, but one thing is for certain, sooner or later Eli Harold and Mike Moore are going to make some opposing quarterbacks miserable.

Progress on the new what's-his-name.
“I told K.T., ‘You can go other places, but if you’ve got a spot that gets you close to home, you can come home. There’s no reason to go far away if you feel you’ve got that kind of style right there in your back yard,’” Rodney said. “We thought his style was right for what Coach Barbee is trying to bring to Auburn.”
After announcing that he will transfer to Auburn, Harrellt any personal issues between his son and the coach he committed to out of Brewbaker Tech. Just differing basketball philosophies.
“[The bullpen] did a nice job,” O’Connor said. “It’s going to take a total team effort and I think they’ve built confidence. The success that they had in the Clemson series will give them confidence.”
Virginia took care of the Tigers with an 8-0 shutout win.
This article is actually from yesterday.
The past week has provided plenty Virginia recruiting news regarding offensive linemen.
RTD on the enemy's spring practice
"The Hokies open spring practice today and must rebuild their offense. The focal point of that attack will be junior quarterback Logan Thomas, but with whom will he share the spotlight? ... Tech lost four starters on the line, its top two wide receivers and, of course, NFL-bound tailback David Wilson from last year's 11-3, Atlantic Coast Conference Coast Division championship team."
Like a Broadway show thats already cast its big-name marquee star, the Virginia Tech football team is ready to audition a supporting cast.

Now this is just sad. Apparently the economy of central New Jersey depends on Rutgers football ... sound familiar?
Rutgers has asked the Big East for financial relief to make up for the loss of a home game because of changes in Big East membership, according to The Star-Ledger of Newark.
Wow! Go Hoos!
"With a net income of $6,038,664, Virginia was tops among eight ACC athletic departments."
Virginia led all ACC programs in profits for 2010-11, according to the Business of College Sports blog. With a net income of $6,038,664, Virginia was

"The most passionate Old Dominion basketball fans have had years of practice despising Virginia Commonwealth, but included in the fear and loathing is an understanding that winters would be a lot bleaker without the antagonistic, spirited relationship between the schools."

Coach Reid is good people.
Also, love what he had to say about Chavis. He and Mike Moore could end up being mythological man-beasts on our DL.
Wow, I hadn't heard about this one. VCU and Mason to the A-10? That would be good for those two programs, but very, very bad for the CAA and ODU especially. Wow.
Realistically if VCU and GMU have no intention of starting football programs, it's probably a good move. The A-10 is probably the top non-football conference in division I, and both would have natural rivals in the A-10 (VCU/Richmond and GMU/GWU.)
At the same time I hope it doesn't happen, because I really enjoy the CAA being such a Virginia-centric conference.
Should have mentioned yesterday that starting today I'm on vacation for a week, so no links for a while.
