I can't see Waddell in a midweek role. Just can't see it at all. I doubt we'd go with three righties, too. I expect Branden to retain his spot as Friday starter. I hope Jones will be able to work his way into the rotation, but who knows. I expected Kirby to be a weekend starter this year and that didn't happen. Even if Jones doesn't make his way into the rotation, we'll be fine. We've got Waddell, Mayberry, Lewicki, and Howard with ACC starting experience. Add in the young talent and there's bound the be a really good staff.
If Kirby comes around, Jones is as good as advertised, and Crockett comes back, we will challenge the all-time winning percenatge mark for a season in college baseball and be strong favorites to win the CWS. Only question not pitching related, is Ragsdale or Laprise at 2B and who will play 1B - Fish, McCarthy, Howard or Papi (do not like Towns height for 1B. Just need to get that late inning rally focus projected out to the whole game!
I know it might seem a little crazy based on this year's production, but I think Kirby would be better in a starter's role than a reliever's. I would try him out mid-week and see if he can work himself into the "4th" starter's role by season's end.
Lot's of tantalizing story lines in the off-season.

I watched quite a few games on ESPN3. Hdmi cord from computer to tv and I was set. Good picture too.
I have nothing to base this on other than intuition. It seems to me that Kirby has a slight attitude problem. He may be the odd man out with all the new arms coming in. I would not be surprised to see him transfer
