Who would u want as his replacement. I say ritchie mckay but i rather have jason williford. Mckay does a lot of n game coaching and appear TU B A great coach. But if williford became coach i dont c him following bennett to the midwest at this stage of his life. So he will stay at uva and b the tom obrien for williford. Williford knw bennett system but probably bring some style TU it. He is our best recruuter n kids adore him. He has the fire n basketball IQ n he love uva where i believe he will never leave for another job. So williford would b my choice. Wht bout ur. Who ur pick n y. Thanks
I'd rather not contemplate that possibility.
I apologize and understand. It was just for discussion however thank you for responding. I hope he dont leave but i think we be in good hands with ritchie mckay and jason williford. Thank u sir
Between those two, McKay because of his head coaching experience though I'd expect we'd also consider outside possibilities.
Also, I'm hoping by the time that Bo Ryan retires, UVA will be a perennial top 20 team and TB will be a god around these parts and not want to leave.
I knw evryone believe he will leave if offered by wisconsin bur im not tht sure. We will ba top 20 team every year now but i believe he enjoy uva n will stay. This is the what if game.
wtf where ya been tu glad you posting again
oh yeah and two drunk to pick lets not lose bennett and ill be happy
Wow. That very good. Im just worried bout the age
Fun topic, tu.
Ideally, I'd want one of these guys:
Buzz Williams -- I just love the guy, and his cerebral approach to the game. I love how gritty and rugged his teams always are. But I doubt he'd ever leave Marquette to come to UVA, just like I doubt Bennett would leave us to go elsewhere.
Gregg Marshall -- Clearly, the guy can really, really coach. But he's set up at Wichita just like Shaka Smart is set up at VCU, Brad Stevens is set up at Butler, and Mark Few is set up at Gonzaga. These dudes have no incentive to leave these jobs right now.
Josh Pastner -- Love his youth and recruiting chops. Memphis is about to be set adrift in the basketball wasteland of the "America 12" or whatever they're going to call it. Still an upgrade from the C*USA, but I think Pastner could be had.
Chris Mooney -- The guy is a fantastic coach, and is vetted in the area now.
Tubby Smith -- I still think he'd be a good fit for us.
Mike Anderson -- He'll never leave Arkansas - his dream job - but running the 40 Minutes of Hell is my dream for UVA.
Anthony Grant -- Not sure he's a great fit for Bama, but I think he'd be a tremendous fit for UVA.
Cuonzo Martin -- I just think he's quietly a really, really good basketball coach. I like that he had such an extensive understudy in the Purdue system.
Dana Altman -- No way we could pry him away from Oregon and Nike, but I think he's a top-15 basketball mind right now.
Tad Boyle -- He's winning at Colorado, he could win BIG at UVA.
Fran McCaffery -- I was impressed with that Iowa team he brought to the JPJ this week. They play like us, but with an edge. Also, doesn't he just look like a guy who should be coaching at UVA?
Mick Cronin -- He's losing Big East status at Cincy and being dumped into the America 12, so he might want to move. Love how his teams play defense.
Scott Drew -- Looking at how he rebuilt Baylor, it's clear he could win anywhere, overcoming any obstacles.
Bill Donlon (Wright State) -- Might be the next Brad Stevens.
Dave Paulsen (Bucknell) -- Man, he's really built a great program with the Bison.
Leon Rice -- Winning at Boise State is a miracle, and this guy is doing it.

I heard Brad Stevens is a sleeper pick for the job.
Stevens would be the best case scenario imo.
Not sure why this post is getting downvotes, TU. Seems like a good discussion question.
He'll never leave Butler.
Half the guys I listed would never leave their jobs. I just wanted to list guys I'd love to see coaching UVA.
This would be my first choice too.
Kevin Ollie is another guy I would watch, but I can't imagine him leaving Uconn if he keeps that machine rolling.
If we ever get into talks with Scott drew I'm done with UVA basketball for good.
I'd take a hard look at McKay and or Williford. Wisconsin is about the only job that worries me but I don't get why people think Ryan is about done, he looks great and has had yet another strong season.
Is he a cheater or do you just not like the cut of his jib?
Damn kendall u know college badketball dont u. Geez tht was impressuve
This is probably what he was talking about:
Baylor basketball coach Scott Drew may have to answer to the NCAA regarding reported violations of rules pertaining to contact made to recruiting prospects. Reported NCAA trouble over calls, texts exposes sins of holier-than-thou Baylor Bears coach Scott Drew
Agreed, but might as well be the biggest name to offer to
