Yea like I said FSU could go either way..
if you actually think you guys will only lose one game this season, i have a feeling you are in for one hell of a rude awakening.
will all the talent you guys lost from last season, you actually believe that you guys will have a better season than last year? are you stupid, crazy or both?

I'll take a shot at this:
UR = W
PSU = W
GT = Close L
TCU = W (all that offseason weirdness works in our favor)
LaTech = W
Duke = W (it feels nice that we can probably start penciling this in as an automatic win again. Sad that it hasn't been that way for a couple of years)
UMD = Big win on homecomings
Wake = W
NCSU = L - just don't think we'll be able to go down there and slow down Glennon
Miami = L
UNC = W (can't wait for our first home Thursday night game since my 1st year!)
VPISU = W
Do we know how many TCU players will be affected by the drug bust, if any?
It's Football in the State of Texas, I will set the over-under at 1 player.
Alright everyone else can just stop guessing because I know I am going to be right.
Richmond = W (97-3) (PFFFFFFF FCS team)
Penn State = W (59-6) (Penn State will have to lean on the run too much which will most likely be our strength on D)
Georgia Tech = W (21-12) (Because they run the clock too much)
TCU = W (63-35) (Baylor just threw it down the field on them so eh, might as well do it too)
Louisiana Tech = W (50-10) (They're a WAC team, therefor their team is wack)
Duke = W (47-17) (We should probably never lose to Dook)
Maryland = W (77-3) (They were terrible, I can't see them getting much better)
Wake Forest = W (46-12) (They lost Chris Givens, they lose to us)
NC State = W (35-21) (They lost Cole on defense, and can Amerson really keep it up? No.)
Miami = W (42-17) (They lost a ton, and we'll be at home this time, I just don't see us losing this one)
UNC = W (24-21) (It'll be close but I think their lack of a big receiving threat will help us out unlike last year)
Virginia Tech = W (4-2) (37 turnovers each, negative yards on offense for everyone, and London and Beamer slap fight at half time)
ACC Championship vs. Clemson = W (63-56) (We surprise everyone and run a Dana Holgerson offense for one week and score a lot on them)
BCS National Championship vs. Southern Cal = W (77-7) (Triple sevens, I ain't never scared)
We win every single award.
Then LSU or Bama demands a share of the BCS Title and they get it because the NCAA loves the SEC.
Do we play Miami in a home and home this year? Like basketball?
Wondering about the split record...
I love the post Ryan. I would love to beat Tech 4-2 or even 3-2.
finally, one reasonable person speaks up, lol
I am not sure in 2013 they will call UVa beating VT an upset
I must break you!
Honestly i just looked up and down UVa roster on football. and i know i tease you guys alittle bit. but Uva has a very very deep , talented team. Your very good at Qb =grade you guys out a solid B
Rb= your also deep i still see Perry Jones in my night mares =A
Wide receiver= Jennings, Terrell, Ej Scott, Bobby Smith. Speed and size =B+
Oline =i love Uva's o line very big like with Morgan Moses who is a huge human being.=A
Line Backers= I needs a solid group of speed, athletes and play makers=B+
Secondary of Uva= You have alot of high talent recruits. you know Brandon Phelps, Nicholson, =I would grade your secondary C+
Give our overall team grade a solid B+. i really believe uva can surprise some people, you guys could be the Clemson of 2012 winning 10 games in the regular season.
Richmond = Win
Penn State = Win, Penn state doesnt have an offense.
Georgia Tech = Loss that triple option is no joke.
TCU = Win
Louisiana Tech = Win
Duke = W (47-17) (uva should probably never lose to Dook)
Maryland = Win. ( my head says 33-21 Uva, my heart says 27-24 uva)
Wake Forest = Win
NC State = Win
Miami = Win
UNC = Win
Virginia Tech = Loss= Their Defense is lights out, Thomas is a first round NFl Pick at Qb.

girls the girls they love me.
That's pretty fair feedback, thanks. I think our interior DL is very very good and we have some solid DEs but the pass rush doesn't seem to be there at this point, which could be a huge key to our defense this season (mainly because our our inexperienced secondary). FWIW, I would grade the LBs a B due to depth and some young players.
I'm worried about September due to our green Center. People are not accounting for that enough. We also lose Patzor, who was a stalwart at guard. We are much weaker at the height of the pocket (guard and center).
While I think PSU is beatable due to their new schemes and coaching changes, I can't call that a win, neither TCU. Louisiana Tech is no cakewalk either. I'm worried about them (did yall see them play last year - athletes all over the place).
Now, come October, I think we can go on a roll. I say 6-6 with losses to PSU, TCU, GT, LT (our "we blew it" game), NCSU, and VT. 7-5 if we can handle LT. POSSIBLY 8-4 if we pull off an upset over PSU, but I doubt it.
You do realize the year before we lost the ACC POY, the best RB in the ACC, another top 4 ACC RB, and replaced them with "A TE for a QB" and we went 11-1? Do I think we go 11-1 again this year? No, but its not any crazier than UVA fans predicting 10 wins with what you all lost.
The OL is the most difficult unit to replace. It will be a huge test for you guys. Tailbacks with no experience and untested receivers spells trouble on the offensive side of the ball. Tech can expect every team to blitz them if they can't establish a running game. Defense will be awesome but you can't expect a defense to be dominant if they are on the field 35 to 40 minutes a game. It wouldn't surprise me to see our schools meet in Blacksburg with identical 7-4 records. A lot of questions for both teams. Tech on the offensive side and ours on the defensive side. If we could combine our O with your D, it would be one hell of a team.
If our OL hadn't sucked for the past 6 years I would agree more. But we've played behind subpar OLs and overall crap offenses for a better part of our ACC stint, and to say we've fared well would be an understatement.
I really really don't see both teams being 7-4 heading into thanksgiving, if VT is then coaches will be fired, and should be. I think our offense will be the same as always, decent against mediocre teams, go in a shell against good teams, rely on QBs feet.
Our biggest question marks will be WR and RB, will our WR be healthy and do we have a capable RB.
I say 9-3 or 10-2 for VT and 7-5 or 6-6 for UVA.
I've been fairly good with UVA predictions over the years...I think this year is a tough one because of the QB situation. I also have a last game (VT and an Average Auburn) taste in my mouth regarding your D making it hard for me to see you all stopping people. You all lost some nice players from last year's team, you have some talent but much is young.
As of today: 6-6 with 1 that can go up or down.
VT: I hate that darn near everyone has more time off to prepare for us than we do for them. Until we lose more than 3 games in the regular season I don't see it, especially with a QB that can make up for so many weaknesses and a D that will be one of our best 3 ever IMO. We might be able to play D QB sneak our way to 8 wins. Coles, Davis, and Roberts give us 3 very good WR. RB, we've been down this road before. OL, we have never been that good. How many on here said there was no way in heck we would win 10 last year with a TE playing QB and that we would not be able to replace Tyrod? Again, the D is loaded and will be top 1-5 nationally.
10-2 plus or minus 1
No offense HNB, because I do actually think LT is pretty good. Much better than I thought he would be in fact. But, don't you think that a lot of his mistakes were covered up by your two WRs,, and obviously DW? You don't have Danny Coale to catch everything this year. And, you certainly don't have a back on your roster as talented as David Wilson to be able to run the ball. You guys may end up being really good again. But, I think we will see a major offensive setback this year. I just don't think any of the RBs you have, that are likely to play a lot are anywhere near as good as what you just lost.

I can definitely see where you're coming from, and agree we don't have a DW or RW on our roster right now. But since we've joined the ACC we've won at least 10 games with Glennon, Imoh, Ore, Cheeseman, and other guys that weren't close to that level either.
My gut says...
Richmond = W
Penn State = W*
@ Georgia Tech = L*
@ TCU = L*
Louisiana Tech = W*
@ Duke = W
Maryland = W
Wake Forest = L*
@ NC State = W*
Miami = L
UNC = W*
@ Virginia Tech = L
* Close games
That's 7-5 (4-4 ACC), good enough for a Music City Bowl or Independence Bowl berth.
if we make it out of september with a 2-2 record we will win 8 games next year.. not sure who we will beat or lose to but 8 wins is doable..
i see similar
UR - W
PSU - L
GT - W (its Al Groh... )
TCU - L
Duke - W
MD - W
WF - W
NC State - L
UM - L
UNC - W
VT - L
7 -5 could easily go 6-6 as well but you guys should have a good offense
We will miss the 2 WR, but of the 2 only DC was drafted and that was in the 5th round, in saying that I think he will be a very good Pro for a long time. But there is a reason Boykin wasn't drafted, he wasn't fast, and struggled to get separation, he did have very good hands. Having Roberts back this year is going to be a big deal, he is very fast and was our best down field threat even with DC.
We do not have a RB like RW or DW this year, but we do have backs that are Evans/Ore/Holmes good IMO. I think the QB position this year makes up for what we lost and allows for growth in the play book...MAYBE? I'm actually hoping that with no top NFL draft pick we open things up more. We really haven't seen what JC can do, they keep him inside all spring.
If you are 2-2 you can go in either direction, I don't think many people know what to expect from PSU or TCU? You could win or lose those games and not know if they were good or bad W/L for several more weeks.
Maybe I am basing too much doubt on the last 2 games? Sims could light it up, but could take a few weeks to find the O and get in a rhythm, he's still young and hasn't started. Rocco is a really good game manager, but I don't know if he can put up a ton of points if your D is giving up big points?
