I see him as a LB with a mean streak or a strech the field type TE.Hope this kids is the real deal cause he sure passes the eye test!WOWCant wait to see what he does w/ a year under Shuman at Fork Union.

At his competitive level to date, he probably projects more as a project than posters are positing here. A high football IQ and insight is a big requirement where athleticism can open a door and onfield decision-making can close it. Shuman is a great choice here to get him ready by a year for what he will face at UVa. Even Eli struggled at times with onfield decision-making, despite his good football IQ, level of competition and athleticism. There's a learning curve for our level of college football that can't be overcome just by athleticism alone. Right now I would lean toward slotting him at the least complex position to learn, perhaps at FB, but LB would be a mighty leap to fit into a D with 10 other players perhaps on a different wave length, upon arrival here. ><

I agree, I see a lot of parallels between Corney and Nate Collins w.r.t. atheticism and level of competition, but Corney isn't a lineman so the path to the playing field is a little steeper. I love this guy's upside though.

"Fork Union Military Academy coach John Shuman said some consideration was given to Corney spending the first semester at Fork Union, alma mater of past Cavaliers signees Austin Pasztor and Ryan Doull, but it has become likely that Corney will arrive at UVa in the fall."

UVa would be able to add Corney this year and still stay under the 85-scholarship limit.
