You can't simply claim the title to something like DBU, it has to be given to you from someone outside of your school/fanbase. Nobody else in the country feels like you are DBU".
LSU: (12) 1 - Ron Brooks - Bills 4th round pick 2 - Morris Claiborne - Dallas 1st round pick 3 - Ryan Clark - Steelers Super bowl Champion 4 - Travis Daniels - Chiefs 5 - Chris Hawkins - Titans 6 - Chad Jones - Giants 7 - LaRon Landry - Jets 8 - Danny McCray - Dallas 9 - Patrick Peterson - Cardinals 10- Craig Steltz - Bears 11- Curtis Taylor - Raiders 12- Corey Webster - Giants
Virginia Tech: (6) 1 - Roc Carmichael 2 - Kam Chancellor 3 - Brandon Flowers 4 - Cody Grimm 5 - DeAngelo Hall 6 - Jayron Hosley
This is just current players in the NFL from one other school. Let's look at others: Alabama has more DBs (yep 10) than you guys as does Texas. Ohio State has 14, Miami and South Carolina have 8. Hell, Notre Lame and West By God both have the same number (6) as you. I would NEVER call myself "___U" without actually having a verififed track record of success. And, just because they were drafted doesn't mean ish. You are counting Jimmy Williams in your "DB drafted every year" crap. How good was he???

lol at the tryhard hoo.
If we are counting guys just drafted you might as well include our saftey Eddie Whitley who signed with the Cowboys as a free agent. We've had some guys retire lately, like Preleiu, Sorensen, etc. but with more guys coming up like Fuller and Antone Exum and we will be replenishing our NFL ranks shortly.
I noticed you didn't list UV on your list. Oversignt, I'm sure, but on the off chance you left your school off because you can't compete, then I suggest you allow VT to have this conversation with the LSU's and Bama's of the world since they are more directly our football peers.
Oh, and look for Manning, Bonner and Jerrett to get drafted or FA into the NFL as well. You come to VT and you will get a NFL shot. Even Cris Hill who only played significantly his RS senior year is getting a FA shot with the Buffalo Bills.
It would be interesting to see how VT develops DB's in comparison to Alabama if you factor in how highly rated the raw material was coming out of high school. At VT we turn 3 and 4 star guys into draft picks and FA's. From there, some turn into 2 deep guys, others flame out and still others make pro bowls. Alabama starts with 4 and 5 star guys and only does slightly better. You'll have to pardon me if I don't hold my head in shame over how VT develops Dbacks.
You guys take a guy with the bloodlines of Frank Minifield and he doesn't even get drafted. Frank was one my fav NFL players all time, so I hope Chase gets well and makes it with the Skins.
