They are back playing. 2-2 tied after 7 innings. Derek Fisher hit a 2-run homer for the Wahoos in the 7th to tie it up. Shortly after the blast by the rookie the game was halted for a lightning delay. Battle of the bullpens now.

Sugar Shane Halley successfully navigates the bottom of the 8th, and we head into the top of the 9th looking for insurance runs, up 4-2 (after trailing 0-2 thru 6).

Papi has been inserted now. Virginia did not want Papi batting against Rodon and his fastball. The season has been a grind for the rookie so sitting some of the game was good for him mentally.
Virginia escaped the 8th and strands a runner at third. Crockett pitched to one batter and got a grounder to end the inning. Headed to the ninth as the Wahoos lead 4-2.
