A heads up ...

  • I'm running the first in a series of "Questions heading into the spring" pieces tomorrow. These won't be the generic previews you can get anywhere, addressing each unit like reading a depth chart. They'll be aggressively written with plenty of opinion. I'm giving you plenty of heads up so that no feelings are hurt. These won't be filled with unicorns and rainbows. biggrin

Well, each of you have favorite players that are invincible in your eyes. Some of the commentary isn't going to sit well with some, but it's opinion and it's honest.

Jamie, you're the only one who's invincible in our eyes. And Keith Payne, but he isn't on the team any more.

Good. One of the worst things about the usual spring coverage is that it seems like it's always full of "Joe Blow looks great!!" and then everyone gets all up in arms when Joe Blow doesn't do anything in the fall.

For me, one of the biggest questions defensively heading into the season is the linebackers and replacing Greer and Reynolds. Those will be my talking points tomorrow.

I'll be interested to see what you have to say when you get to the QB's something has bothered me about one of them and I'll see if you touch on the topic.

Some time in between. Noon-ish. Have a dentist visit (just a cleaning) this morning. When I'm done and back to the home office, I'll load it.

For as much crap as we gave Greer for being a step slow and out of position on his drops in coverage, it is going to be extremely difficult to replace that many tackles. He was freaking everywhere! I hope any news on Kwontie is solid to good...I worry about something so simple with him and that is his stride, It looks very Kai Parhamish!

Reynolds vocal leadership is going to be tough to replace!

Damn I am already biting fingernails and you have not even loaded the first article in the series!!

I agree, he was a great LEADER for the defense and always knew what was going on. If you want a preview as to how hard he will be to replace, not just in terms of production but in terms of leadership and football iq, look at what happened in the chic fil a bowl. Our D was lost with Coley at MLB.
