Virginia took to the practice field for the first of 20 spring practices on Monday. Due to snow and rain, the Cavaliers broke in their new indoor practice facility.

Definitely a message since they havn't had a game/practice since the fall when Sims was #2. I'm guessing he didn't put the work in that the other guys did and they are being rewarded for their effort. When's he gonna get it through his head that he isn't owed the starting job, he has to earn it.

What I have heard, is pretty much what Jamie has iterated, its not that he doesn't do the work, its just that he is outworked by others. Most of my speculation is simply based on the timing. I get that Fairchild is coming in giving them a clean slate but really there is only one thing to judge guys on when piecing together a spring depth chart, the status quo from the end of the previous year, and winter workouts.
