On Sunday afternoon the Virginia Cavaliers (15-5, 5-2) travel to Atlanta to face Georgia Tech (11-8, 1-6). The game will tip off at 3pm and be shown on ESPNU.

It will be an important step for this team to go out and win on the road. GT is a better team than VT IMO.
When you look at this season, we could very easily be 19 - 1 or even undefeated. Four of our losses are to teams we probably should have beaten. I will give Clemson credit for being a good home team and not include them.

They go 8 deep. Kammeon Holsey is their third leading scorer and a solid player but he fouls a lot. after him no one on the bench is shooting better than 36% from the field.

Who did we lose to in the round 1 of the NIT? Also, was there another tourney where our first round loss hurt our RPI?
I didn't realize it was Michigan we'd missed with the bad loss.

Most scary thing about today's game is the Vegas line. We're favored by 2. I was thinking it would be around 6 or 7. The line scares me...seems like a no-brainer UVa bet...ugh.

Typically prefer Sunday games on the road vs Saturday anyway.... ESP since this is Super Bowl Sunday my guess is there will be a lighter crowd.

We have to remember that 4 freshmen are playing significant minutes. We will probably have another loss to a team we should beat. It's almost impossibke to look at our remaining schedule and predict wins and losses. We could lose today and beat Duke. The conference is a free for all with Miami playing good consistent ball However, they are peaking too early. I do like the idea that Bennett and the boys had extra couple of days to prepare for this one. I think we win a tough one 57-52.

Virginia beat Fairfield in the first round, then lost to Delaware in the 2nd round. If they had won I believe the semi-final game would have been against Kansas State and the winner of the semi-final game ended up facing Michigan in the final. If Virginia had lost to K-State they would have played Pitt in the Consolation Game.
Either way, early in the season this team was not ready for that level of competition, however two losses to top 50 teams would look much better than a loss to Delaware.

Thanks. That Delaware loss was bigger than I thought at the time. That game and the ODU game really making life tough right now.
