Virginia football hit the road for the first time this spring on Saturday for a practice at Fairfax High School. Under grey skies and driving rain, the Cavaliers had a spirited practice.
It was also the first day of practice in which the team wore full pads.
On a day that was dominated by the defense, it was thinnest unit on that side of the ball shined during the dreary afternoon.
UVa's secondary led by rising sophomore cornerback Demetrious Nicholson and junior safety Rijo Walker were two of the standouts on the day.
