WVU actually already has three RB commits in the class of 2013: 3-stars DeShawn Coleman and Zaire Williams as well as 2-star Elijah Wellman (well, he's a fullback.)

Williams looks like a really good player. Offers from Wisconsin, Iowa, UCONN, Pitt, Purdue, and Temple. Coleman was a big pick up for them, too. Had offers from Penn State, Pitt, and Purdue.

So in other words, they're picking up RBs as if they know they don't stand a chance with Smoke.

I don't, in any way, want to come across as if I am speaking for the WVU coaching staff but from what we understand 'Smoke' is very much a want on the WVU recruiting board and the opportunity to play a role similar to Tavon Austin is most likely the position being sold.

Even is there was a change in the situation and Mizzell committed to WVU tomorrow there is a good chance WVU would accept the commitment of another RB just to fill out the need at that position.

Was there ever any doubt that WVU would accept his commitment? We are talking about one of the best RB prospects on the East Coast, let alone the country. I'm sure WVU fans/coaches are excited about what they might already have coming in (I don't know myself), but this kid is going to shine for whoever he ends up playing for and not finding a way to get him a scholarship would be foolish

I was more talking about the fact that WVU taking 2-3 RB's in this recruiting cycle will have/should have very little effect on the recruitment of Mizzell as it appears thats not really the position being sold............and of course it won't matter how many WVU brings in, Smoke would likely have that spot if he wanted it also.

So the question was not would WVU accept his commitment but rather WVU has a major need at quality depth at RB. With or without Mizzell WVU is taking 2-3 true RB's as it is.

Didn't mean to imply that WVU is "recruiting over" Smoke; obviously y'all would take him in a heartbeat. I was just pointing out that they're plowing along with backfield recruits as opposed to going "all or nothing" on him like UVA is basically doing. That's all.

Your fanbase must be very excited about the Big X(II) move!

Lets be honest.........it isn't as if Mizzell is some type of slam dunk for WVU. He obviously is the strongest of UVA leans and if he doesn't even visit Morgantown I'm not sure how you can even say WVU is in the race.

Now WVU is in a rare situation that allows them to not only sell Smoke on a position he can step in and play early, they can still go out and get a few other quality players at the same position/s he is being recruited for and show him the depth chart as a reason to, purhaps, over-recruit said position/s.
