LOL. Sure you will. Just like Logan Thomas was told he'd be a starting TE and they weren't interested in him as a QB. Say what you want about London's redshirt decisions (and there have been some questionable ones) at least he appears to be keeping promises he made on the recruiting trail. Hopefully word gets around about promises being kept/broken.

I hope Chavis gets Sugar Shane to put that in writing about coming in and starting from day 1.

I'm pretty sure what made vt attractive to Thomas is they were telling him he would be a QB, while UVa was projecting him as a TE. I still think TE is his best shot at the NFL.

I wonder if hedging his bets a little in case he doesn't get past admissions is one if the drivers here. Clearly if Shane will sell the "you will start as a true freshman" load of crap, I am sure he will cite kids who we offered in the past but didn't get past admissions. I am sure they will put in a good show on the 25th and have the academic advisors from the apparel management program there reminding players that no one fails out at VT.

The article has VT coach saying he'd have been a TE if he hadn't been QB. But they knew they were slotting him for QB even as they promised TE. As noted several times above, this type of thing should be used to highlight the value of promises by individuals/staffs.
